          III.      Board Nominations

a.      Bob Bryan and John Hildebrand were re-elected for 2 year terms

         IV.      Open Discussion/Questions

a.      Teenagers responsible for some neighborhood vandalism last Fall/Winter were apprehended by the Purcellville Police Dept.  No additional incidents reported.

b.      Neighborhood stop signs were discussed.  Town councilman Karl Phillips reported that the signs have been very successful in cutting down flow-through traffic and overall speeds in the neighborhood.  Other Purcellville neighborhoods have adopted similar strategy.  No plans for town to remove them unless prompted by residents.

c.      Potential for Rt. 7/690N interchange was discussed.  No firm news yet - but general consensus is that if the new high school is built on the Field’s Farm property – the interchange will go forward.

d.      The issue of connecting sidewalks between Catoctin Meadows and town was discussed.  Most likely that sidewalks will be put in along Main Street first.  Town’s plan is to let private new construction projects along 21st Street incrementally install sidewalks along that route.  Town will then eventually fill in any remaining gaps.

e.      Parks and Recreation committee is trying to establish a passive nature park along Catoctin Creek.  The town may be interested in our common area at some point in the future.  But with recent votes (see 2004 meeting), HOA board will not pursue any activity resulting in change of ownership in common area.

f.        Verified that there are no further plans for a bike path through the community.
